“So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!”

2 Corinthians [5:17]

When we fully and completely accept Christ we become changed. The rules of life change for us. What was important becomes unimportant and what was unimportant becomes important. We seek different paths and move in our lives differently. We are no longer prone to anger, but to joy. We are no longer miserly, but generous. We are now helpers and not takers. We give to others not to gain favor, but out of empathy. Through our new faith we are not only changed in our outward expressions, but in our internal thoughts. We no longer silently worry and remain troubled, but we have thoughts of comfort and hope. Our lives are no longer dreary and drab that stretches out endlessly ahead of us, but replaced by the joy of knowing the impossible will appear every day.

Points of Reflection

  • What are the new things we think about when our heart is with Jesus?
  • What do we leave behind when we fully accept Jesus?
  • What gives us joy in life and how is it tied to Jesus?

Blessings, until next time,
